Our Transition Year workshops are our most popular standalone programme. Discussion-led, interactive, and built specifically for the maturity and attention span of a TY group, they cover the legal topics that affect students' real lives, not abstract case law.
Available in 2, 3 or 4 hour formats. The 2-hour workshop is a focused in-depth conversation with no mock trial, ideal for a single TY slot. The 3-hour workshop includes our flagship mock trial — students get wigs and gowns and run a full courtroom scenario. The 4-hour workshop builds on the mock trial with significantly deeper analysis of the topics.
Every workshop is tailored to the school's TY programme and the topics most relevant to that group. We work in partnership with TY Coordinators to design a session that responds to your students' needs, not a one-size-fits-all template.

A focused 2-hour workshop with no mock trial. Covers consent, cyberbullying, driving laws, criminal age of responsibility, underage drinking, smoking laws and more. Ideal for fitting into a single morning or afternoon TY slot.
Includes our flagship mock trial. Students get wigs and gowns and engage with each other directly, using the legal knowledge from the workshop. They take on the roles of prosecution, defence, witness and jury, gaining a real understanding of how a courtroom works.
Includes the mock trial plus an additional hour for deeper engagement and more thorough analysis of the topics. Best for cohorts wanting maximum depth and time for full discussion.

The mock trial is available in our 3 and 4 hour TY workshops. Students get wigs and gowns and step into the roles of a real courtroom. Prosecution and defence make their cases, witnesses are examined and cross-examined, and the jury deliberates and delivers a verdict.
It's the moment legal literacy stops being abstract. Students apply what they've just learned about consent, evidence, criminal responsibility and the rights of the accused, in a setting that feels real because in many ways it is. Year after year this is the part schools come back for.
